Mother’s Day Gift Guide
What does Mom really want? I asked this question on social media recently and the same answers came pouring in one after the next: A DAY OFF, A CLEAN HOUSE, A SPA DAY. There were a few wild card responses like “plastic surgery with time away at a 1 month healing clinic”, “lip filler and a gucci bag”, “Taylor Swift tickets” to name a few.
After asking my Instagram and Facebook audience of over 300k, the consensus was, Mom’s need a day off, in a clean house that they didn’t clean, with a cherry on top: a trip to the spa. Based on the sheer volume of these responses, I’m guessing my audience is primarily made up of moms of kids living at home still, in the thick of raising kids.
Can we make this happen for Mom? She’s not asking much. She’s saying can someone ELSE do the dishes, sweep the floor, scrub the toilets and empty the dirty laundry basket? Can she please have a moment to herself where she can have a full thought, without parenting, cleaning, and maybe getting pampered at the same time? This feels easy. Doesn’t even have to be a full out spa day, book her a pedicure!
