The one where the COOKIE SQUAD has a holiday party

This past year at Jenny Cookies Bake Shop was one for the record books.  We crushed unimaginable numbers and produced more cookies than we ever thought possible.  It was a big year and I wanted to make sure my team was spoiled and celebrated for their dedication and commitment to our team.

Last year I threw a Favorite Things party for the girls which was super fun, but this year we went a new route.  I surprised them with a Friends themed bakery crawl through Seattle.  It was a bit random pulling it together but it worked out!

To start the day, I had them meet at Dan’s office.  There we had customized donuts, mimosas, coffee with monogrammed mugs and a new outfit for the day: Friends themed COOKIES sweatshirts and a fresh pair of checkered vans.  The holiday armadillo was also in attendance (x12) for everyone to take home as a party favor (found on Etsy HERE).

After coffee and mimosas we hit the streets and headed for our first destination:  Central Perk!  The Lounge by At&T in Capitol Hill.

As the girl who stayed home from Thursday night partying in college to watch Friends, you can imagine how excited I was to sit on the Central Perk sofa!

We grabbed coffee, snapped photos and even sang a round of Smelly Cat.

Next on our crawl was my favorite macaron shop in all the land: Lady Yum.

My friend Megan (aka Lady Yum) got in on the theme and created special macs around our day.  She had a beautiful table set for us with champagne and themed macs to represent Friends:  “Better than Rachel’s English Trifle” and “Mockolate”.

If you haven’t tried Lady Yum, I highly recommend them!  They are the best macs I’ve had anywhere!

Back in the car for a little karaoke and selfies.

Our third stop took us to Deep Sea Sugar & Salt for cake!

The cake shop is cozy and quaint, and their cakes are gorgeous.  We tried a bite of nearly everything.  They have fantastic, unique flavors and beautiful designs.  Our favorites were: The London Fog, Molasses Stout and Brown Butter Banana Cream.

After all the sugar, we needed a little more than dessert so we headed to the Starbucks Roastery.  It is the coolest space filled with fantastic food, dessert coffee and even cocktails.

We tried a bunch of their pizzas and salads.  It was all delicious.  We had a time limit so we weren’t able to stay long, but I’d love to go back and spend a whole afternoon at the reserve.  It is gorgeous.

Our last stop brought us to Pike Place to an adorable soda shop called Shugs Soda Fountain & Ice Cream. Shug’s is filled with timeless, delicious sundaes, sodas, floats and more, in a beautiful space.

Colleen, the owner herself, served up float after float of deliciousness to our group.  We loved meeting her and trying all of her creations!

Shug’s is a must visit the next time you find yourself downtown Seattle!

My personal favorite was their champagne float!

Before we left, we took the nostalgic Friends sundae photo at their bar top.

And then a quick shot in the market.

So proud of this team right here.  We worked hard in 2019 and accomplished a lot of really incredible things.  I’m excited for everything that is coming in 2020!

Pin this idea for later!
