I forgot my camera when I set up this cute mini dessert table last weekend. :(

Thank you iPhone for saving the day.

Last weekend I had the pleasure of creating a super fun dessert table for Kelsey & Eric’s wedding at Novelty Hill – Januik Winery in Woodinville. When Kelsey first contacted me about doing a table she said her fiance really liked ice cream and mentioned doing some ice cream cone cupcakes she had seen in the spring issue of Martha Stewart Weddings magazine. Instead of just making ice cream cone cupcakes I suggested an entire dessert table with an Ice Cream Shop theme. They loved it!

Thanks Kelsey & Eric for letting Jenny Cookies be a part of your special day!

The Everett Clinic was named The Best Large Company to Work For in Washington State, by Seattle Business Magazine. After seeing the celebration they treat their employees to every summer, I can see why!

A whopping 1725 cake pops were ordered to thank each and every employee of The Everett Clinic, in addition to a gigantic barbeque they put on. What a fun company to work for!

Hudson turned 3 this month, which I still can hardly believe. It feels just like yesterday we were bringing a tiny little 6lb baby boy home from the hospital. That tiny little baby boy has grown into the busiest little guy on planet earth. His sweet face, those big brown eyes, that raspy voice, oh he melts me….

Happy 3rd Birthday Hudson Ray!

We celebrated his birthday farm style, sending invites out in burlap bags, tied with red bandanas for each child to wear to the party. The barn was empty besides three picnic tables so in order to set the stage for Hudson’s barn party, two giant truckloads of furniture, crates, apple baskets, wood boxes, tables, and other random things found buried in my garage were brought in. I made gigantic accordian circles to hang above the dessert table and attached a vintage milk bottle top to the center of each. The cake was set on an old pie delivery box and cookies/cupcakes/pies on vintage trays. Animal cake pops stuck out of mini bales of hay. Flowers were placed in vintage milk bottles, and all food was served in old red and white enamelware. The kids played dueling games of drop the clothespin into the bottle, raced through a corn maze, fed goats, pigs, chickens and lambs, had feather extensions added to their hair, and ended with a very competitive sack race in burlap bags. Guests were sent home with homemade strawberry-raspberry jam, goodie bags filled with farm animals and farm themed candy, baby chicks, and egg cartons filled with mini cupcakes.

A big thanks to Foster’s Barn for having us!

Raise your hand if you like turquoise and pink peonies! This was such a fun shoot. It was a bit of a rush with peonies almost out of season but Stadium Flowers was able to create the most gorgeous florals just in time for this event. The combination of pink flowers and the vintage hobnail milk glass couldn’t have been more perfect.

Sadie and Josh were our darling couple. Married for 9 years and more in love than ever. Our amazing hair girl Caryn gave Sadie just the right do for this shoot. A big do. Huge. So huge I asked how much hair spray was involved. It was awesome. Terri Fields made up Sadie’s gorgeous face, and complimented her incredible wedding dress with just the right jewelry and accessories.

Sara from Less Ordinary Designs hit it out of the park again with her adorable wedding invites, guest book cards, signs and tags. Sara can do pretty much anything. If you can dream it, she can create it!

The dessert table was filled with cookies, cupcakes, cake lollipops, and a sugar crystal coated red velvet wedding cake. The table sat under an arrangement of pink and white tissue and tulle balls hung from the branches of old apple tree. Trees are such a bonus to any event, they are great for shade and keep your options open for decorating!

Table number cards were tied onto vintage seltzer bottles (found at InvenTORI), and glass jars filled with mini cookies were given to guests as take home favors. Instead of a guest book I set up an old desk and had Sara create tags for guests to write on and hang from twine strung around an old window. Sara also made darling silverware wraps, a super easy, inexpensive way to spice up table settings.

Kaylee captured the day with her magic eye and camera combo. She keeps everyone laughing by all of her gasping, making each bride feel like a super model. I’ve never had a photographer literally fall over when she saw the bride…until this shoot. She was so excited with the hair, the dress, the whole look that I guess it knocked her off her feet! She’s crazy fun.

Here is just a sample of her awesome work. To see the full post visit Kaylee’s blog.

A couple days before the 4th of July, Dan and I decided to host a BBQ. I forgot how much I love this holiday! The colors, the weather, the food, the family and friends, it’s a perfect combination.
