- 2 28-ounce cans original baked beans (Bush's Original is my favorite)
- 6 slices bacon cooked and chopped
- 1 small yellow onion finely diced
- 1/2 cup ketchup
- 1/4 cup BBQ sauce
- 2 tablespoons brown sugar
- 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
- 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
Optional Upgrades:
- 1/4 cup diced pineapple
- Extra crispy bacon crumbles before serving
Preheat your oven to 350°F.
Cook the bacon until crisp and reserve 1 tablespoon of the drippings.
Sauté the diced onion in the bacon drippings until softened.
In a large mixing bowl, combine the baked beans, chopped bacon, onion, ketchup, BBQ sauce, brown sugar, Dijon mustard, Worcestershire sauce, apple cider vinegar, smoked paprika, and black pepper.
Transfer the mixture to a greased 9x13-inch baking dish or casserole dish.
Bake uncovered for 45 to 60 minutes, until hot, bubbly, and slightly caramelized around the edges.
