  • Step 1: Prep the Pan
  • Preheat oven to 325°F.
  • Line an 8x8 baking pan with parchment paper for easy removal.
  • Step 2: Mix Dry Ingredients
  • In a large bowl, whisk together: granulated sugar, brown sugar, flour, cocoa powder, salt, baking powder.
  • Stir in chocolate chips.
  • Step 3: Add Wet Ingredients
  • Mix in: oil, water, egg, vanilla.
  • Stir until just combined.
  • Do not overmix.
  • Step 4: Bake

  • Bake for 35–40 minutes.
