  • 1/2 cup salted butter browned
  • 16 oz marshmallows
  • 10 cups Rice Krispies cereal about 1 standard 12 oz box
  • 1/4 teaspoon kosher salt

Instructions

  • Line a 9x13-inch pan with parchment paper.
  • Brown the butter
  • In a large pot over medium heat, melt the butter. Continue cooking until it turns golden brown and smells slightly nutty.
  • Reduce heat to low. Add marshmallows and stir until completely smooth.
  • Remove from heat as soon as melted.
  • Add salt
  • Stir in the kosher salt.
  • Add the Rice Krispies and gently fold until evenly coated. Avoid overmixing.
  • Transfer the mixture to your prepared pan.
  • Using a piece of parchment paper or buttered hands, press firmly and evenly into the pan.
  • Allow the treats to sit at room temperature for about 1 hour.
  • Lift out of the pan, flip if desired, and cut into squares using a sharp knife.
