Brown Butter Rice Krispie Treats

Ingredients

salted butter
browned

Rice Krispies cereal
about 1 standard 12 oz box

kosher salt
Instructions
Line a 9x13-inch pan with parchment paper.
Brown the butter
In a large pot over medium heat, melt the butter. Continue cooking until it turns golden brown and smells slightly nutty.
Reduce heat to low. Add marshmallows and stir until completely smooth.
Remove from heat as soon as melted.
Add salt
Stir in the kosher salt.
Add the Rice Krispies and gently fold until evenly coated. Avoid overmixing.
Transfer the mixture to your prepared pan.
Using a piece of parchment paper or buttered hands, press firmly and evenly into the pan.
Allow the treats to sit at room temperature for about 1 hour.
Lift out of the pan, flip if desired, and cut into squares using a sharp knife.
