Peanut Butter Football Cracker Cookies (Easy Super Bowl Desserts)

If you need a Super Bowl dessert that’s cute, easy, and guaranteed to disappear fast, these peanut butter football cracker cookies are it!

They’re made with football-shaped Ritz crackers, filled with peanut butter, dipped in chocolate, and finished with simple white frosting laces. No baking required, no fancy tools, and no stress. They are just the kind of snack that feels fun to make and even better to set out during the game.

Whether you’re hosting a Super Bowl party, heading to a potluck, or just snacking on the couch while cheering on the Seahawks, these little football cookies are always a hit.

Why These Are Perfect for Super Bowl Sunday

Super Bowl desserts should be:

  • Easy to make ahead
  • Handheld (no plates required)
  • Fun and themed without being over-the-top

These peanut butter cracker cookies check all the boxes. They’re sweet and salty, bite-sized and kind of nostalgic…which makes them perfect for game day.

They also look way more impressive than the effort they take, which is always a win when you’re juggling food, guests, and kickoff time.

What You’ll Need

This is one of those recipes where the ingredient list is short and forgiving.

How to Make Peanut Butter Football Cracker Cookies

1. Assemble the Crackers

Spread peanut butter onto one football-shaped Ritz cracker, then sandwich it with another cracker. Don’t overfill them! Use just enough to cover the surface so it doesn’t squish out the sides.

2. Dip in Chocolate

Melt your chocolate until smooth, then dip each peanut butter cracker sandwich into the chocolate. Use a fork or dipping tool to lift it out, tap off the excess, and place on parchment paper.

Perfection is not the goal here! A little uneven chocolate just adds to the homemade look.

3. Add the Football Laces

Once the chocolate is mostly set, pipe simple football laces on top using white frosting or melted white chocolate. A small round piping tip works great, but a zip-top bag with the corner snipped works too.

Let everything set completely before serving or packaging.

Tips for Success (and Less Mess)

  • Use room temperature peanut butter so it spreads easily
  • Let excess chocolate drip off before setting the cookies down
  • If your kitchen is warm, pop the cookies in the fridge briefly to set
  • Don’t stress about perfect laces!

These are meant to feel fun and casual, not bakery-perfect.

Treat Packaging:

Make-Ahead & Storage

One of the best parts about these cookies is how well they hold up.

  • Make them up to 2 days ahead
  • Store in an airtight container at room temperature or freezer.
  • Serve straight from the container or let come to room temp from the freezer for about 10 minutes.

They’re great for setting out early so you can actually enjoy the game.

How to Serve Them for a Super Bowl Party

These peanut butter football cookies work perfectly:

  • On a dessert board with brownies and cookies
  • In a big bowl on the coffee table
  • Lined up on a tray as a themed dessert moment

They pair especially well with salty snacks, chili, and all the classic Super Bowl food.
