Holiday Wrapping Crate: The Cutest Way to Organize Supplies

My Holiday Wrapping Crate (The Cutest Little Hack for the Season)

Every year when the holidays roll around, there’s one little thing that makes wrapping gifts feel so much easier, my vintage soda crate. I’ve had it forever, and it comes out every December like clockwork. It’s practical, but also doubles as cute decor. I keep it tucked under the tree next to the gifts, so when it’s time to wrap, I’m not digging through drawers or hauling out a plastic bin from the garage.  Everything is right there, ready to go. This is my holiday wrapping crate!

Inside my crate I keep all my wrapping staples:

  • Ribbon — satin, velvet, gingham, twine, tinsel… I like a mix
  • Scissors + tape
  • Gift tags
  • Fun toppers: mini bottle brush trees, jingle bells, tiny plastic reindeer, and anything festive that makes a package more magical

I refill things as I need to, but a lot of it carries over from year to year. Then I’ll freshen it up each season with a couple new ribbons or tags to keep it feeling fun and inspiring.

My crate is vintage, which is part of its charm, but you don’t need the exact same one to recreate the idea, anything with compartments will do. You can find similar crates on Amazon or Hobby Lobby, or if you love the hunt like I do, browse Etsy or keep an eye out at your next vintage market. It’s one of those small things that makes holiday wrapping feel simple + special at the same time.

I put together a list with ribbons, tags, and toppers like the ones I keep inside my crate, along with a similar container if you’re wanting to build your own wrapping station, even found a few similar crates on Etsy.
