The Ultimate Utah Guide-Top things to do and see
Utah might not be the first state that comes to mind when planning your next getaway, but after several visits, I can confidently say it has everything you need—stunning landscapes, delicious food, sweet treats, and unique activities. Whether you’re a nature lover, a foodie, or a cookie connoisseur, Utah has so much to explore. I’ve had the opportunity to visit often, thanks to my best friend who calls this beautiful state home, so here are some of my personal favorite must-do things in Utah!

Park City
Park City is one of those places that feels like a little getaway, even if you’re not traveling far. If you love to ski and snowboard, you’re going to LOVE it. Here’s are my favorite stops:
- High West Distillery – Whether you’re into whiskey or not, this place is worth the stop. They offer whiskey tastings and their food is so good.
- Main Street Shopping – Take your time strolling the shops. My favorite boutique is Cake.
- Alpine Slides – If you’re going during the warmer months, these are a must. So fun and totally worth it.
- Drinks at Stein Lodge – Even if you’re not staying there, go for a drink and soak up the view. Trust me.
- The Market Grocery Store – OK, hear me out… it’s just a grocery store. But they have this secret stick bread that’s unreal. Grab a loaf (or three) and thank me later.

SUNDANCE
Sundance has that cozy, mountain-town feel and is always worth a visit.
- The Owl Bar – Such a fun vibe, good drinks, and the coolest atmosphere.
- Catch a Show – Check what’s happening while you’re there. They always have something going on!

SALT FLATS
If you’re into photography or just want to feel like you’ve landed on another planet, head to the Salt Flats. The photos basically take themselves.

Take a Class at Orson Gygi
Honestly, this is one of the most fun things I’ve done in Utah. Take a pizza class with Chef Brandon or a cake class with Cake by Courtney. They’re hands-on, super laid-back, and you’ll learn a ton.

shopping
Utah has no shortage of good shopping, and these are the places I always go:
- Lonely Ghost – The most creative store, set up like a grocery store. Grab a hoodie from the freezer section, a tee packaged inside a cereal box, or a sweat set disguised as a loaves of bread in the bakery.
- Sea Bones – Make your own charm necklace and bracelet.
- The Dainty Pear – The cutest home goods and gifts. Don’t miss their swedish candy section.
- The Food Nanny Store – If you’ve ever wanted to make bread like Lizi, this is your spot. Grab her famous flour and all the tools you need.
- Le Petite Maison – Little European treasures everywhere.
- Fox Market – One of the best pink sugar cookies I’ve ever had. They also sell Ballerina Farm’s baking line.
- Jolley’s – Real pharmacy with tons of giftables, home decor and lots of little treasures.
- Name Droppers – High-end vintage finds that feel like a treasure hunt.

go on a cookie crawl
I’m just saying… Utah might have the best cookies. Here are my favorite stops from over the years:
- Twisted Sugar – My all-time favorite. Get the Twisted Sugar Cookie (coconut icing + fresh lime) and the oatmeal chocolate chip with cookie butter.
- Dirty Dough-always a new flavor to try
- Blox-not a traditional cookie, they’re a bar.. and if they have the Biscoff one, GET IT.
- Suss Cookies -Try the Cocomel
- Swig – Home of the original pink cookie. It’s one of the very best.
- Dunked – Yes, the one in the Nike shoebox.
- Chip-their chocolate chip is gooood
- Ruby Snap-so much variety, something for everyone

TRY A “DIRTY” DRINK
Utah is famous for their loaded sodas. If you know, you know. My go-tos:

where to eat
And of course… food. There is no shortage of fun, new places to eat. Everytime I visit, there’s a new restaurant to try. Here are some can’t-miss spots:
- Brunch Me Hard – Cutest vibe and such a good menu.
- Motel West – Incredible Mexican food.
- Rio Acai – The best acai bowls.

No matter what season, get in the car and simply take in the mountain views. I’ve been fortunate enough to experience each season and the mountains never cease to amaze me, but have to say out of all of them, the winter with the snow on the mountains is breathtaking!
Whether you’re planning a full Utah trip or just passing through, save this list, you’ll be glad you did. There’s seriously so much good stuff to eat, see, and do.
