Disney Day at Jenny Cookies Bake Shop

In early March we brought a little bit of Disney magic to Lake Stevens, WA and invited the whole state to come and celebrate with us.

About every other month we host a character meet and greet at Jenny Cookies Bake Shop.  We’ve had Anna and Elsa, Moana, Peter Pan, Tinkerbell, Star Wars, Ariel, Belle, Snow White, Prince Charming and more.  It’s always a crazy but fun day filled with themed treats, music and lots of pixie dust.

As a die hard Disney fan, I was beside myself excited to host a Disney-inspired Meet and Greet event for the community.  The Cookie Squad put our heads together to create “The Happiest Menu on Earth” made up of park inspired treats, character cookies and some of the newest must-haves like Churro Toffee.  We invited our friends at Enchanting Events to join us for an extended meet-and-greet and hired five characters vs our normal 2-3.  It was everything we could have imagined and more!

We shared the event on our Facebook and Instagram pages and encouraged customers to wear their ears and “Disney Best”.  Boy did they show up!  The line was wrapped around the building and down the street before we even opened the doors!

Parents, grandparents and friends showed up in their ears, costumes, princess dresses and COOKIES sweatshirts.  Everyone looked amazing!!

Jenny Cookies Bake Shop was prepped with Disney-inspired cupcakes like Dole Whip, Chocolate Covered Banana and Churro flavors and bake shop classics like our vanilla bean topped with a COOKIES embroidered Mickey hat and Cinderella’s Carriage cupcake (pumpkin with vanilla buttercream) topped with a blue pumpkin.

Our rice krispy treats were decorated to look like a nostalgic Mickey ice cream bar and our sugar cookies were transformed into 15 different characters.

Out of all the treats, I think the Mary Poppins dresses and the personalized mouse ears were my favorite!

To start off the magical morning Mary Poppins serenaded us in the bake shop kitchen with A Spoon Full of Sugar.  She was amazing!!

Tinkerbell and Rapunzel greeted guests and posed for photos inside the shop.  Rapunzel told us it was THE BEST DAY EVER!

Cinderella arrived just on time and greeted guests inside and outside the shop.  She couldn’t possibly be any sweeter.  Check out these magical moments Kelly Clare captured.

The look on the little girls faces are so sweet!  As a parent, this would make the long wait in the line completely worth it!

And this hug!  The cutest!!

Parents, you were all incredible.  I loved seeing you brave the line for your littles.

We kept characters walking the line and the samples flowing!

My little guy Hudson passed out rice krispy treat samples to all of the kids.  He did an awesome job helping!

The smiles and excitement on the faces of all of these darling children made all of the hard work worth it!

Even a policeman showed up to hand out Junior Officer badges to the kids in line.  Thank you Lake Stevens Police Department, we appreciate you!

I loved seeing how many of you posed for a photo with the Mickey Mouse balloons!  One thing you always see at Disneyland is the giant cluster of balloons down Main Street.  I knew we couldn’t have Disney Day without the nostalgic balloons!

It was so awesome to see people show up in their COOKIES sweatshirts!  Thank you to everyone who introduced themselves to me, I loved meeting you all!

We stocked and prepped more than we ever have for a character meet and greet day and still managed to sell through all of our treats.  Our production team worked non-stop to keep the cookies and cupcakes coming, even long after their shifts were over!

I’m so proud of my team.  They helped over 1000 people on Disney Day with smiles on their faces and happy hearts.  It is always so impressive to see how they handle these days with such grace and determination.  I might be bias but I truly believe the Cookie Squad is the best team ever!

Even MR. COOKIES made an appearance!  Thank you Dan for passing out samples, taking photos for our guests and helping wherever was needed.  Team work makes the dream work!

We sure loved seeing all of you.  Thank you for supporting our little local business.
