Mamma Mia Movie Night In

It’s baaaack!  Mamma Mia! Here We Go Again is now available to own on Digital.  If you liked the first movie, you’re going to LOVE this one!

The best way to experience any movie, especially a sing along is with good friends and great food.  Make plans with your besties for a musical movie night in!  I’m sharing a simple greek cookie recipe that will pair perfectly for your Mamma Mia Movie Night.

Kourambiathes:  Traditional greek shortbread cookies

You will need:
1 cup butter (room temp)
1 egg yolk
2 tsp anise extract
1/4 cup powdered sugar (plus extra for dusting)
1 1/2 cups flour

Directions:

Preheat oven to 350 degrees.  In a medium bowl, cream the butter, egg yolk and anise extract until light. Stir in the 1/4 cup confectioners’ sugar and flour until blended.

 

Shape dough into crescents and place 2 inches apart on the prepared baking sheets.  I like to use a cookie scoop to keep the cookies evenly sized.

 

 

Bake in preheated oven just until bottoms and edges begin to brown, 15 to 20 minutes. Dust heavily with confectioners’ sugar before they are completely cool.
