Pie and Coffee After Party!

My husband and I recently threw our annual Date Night Favorite Things Holiday Party and planned a little “after party” for those who didn’t want the night to end.  I’m one of those people.  It’s so much work to prep for a party and then it always goes by way too fast. How can you prevent this?!  I’ll tell you.  The After Party.

The After Party is sometimes just three lingering friends who stay to help clean while eating leftover dessert.  Sometimes it’s four couples who know they’ll stay late and come with sweats to park it on the couch reminiscing all the fun of the party.  And sometimes it’s a full on second half of a party, when we’re all ready for round two of dinner and drinks.

I knew I’d have a group of friends who’d want to stay late after our Favorite Things party so I planned a Pie and Coffee After Party!  After party guests are generally done drinking cocktails and ready for something warm and cozy.  To prepare, I shopped at Target for marshmallows, peppermint sticks, whip cream,  Starbucks Holiday Blend Coffee and Hot Cocoa.

To prepare for our Coffee and Pie After Party, filled my back porch with cozy blankets, comfy pillows and plenty of candles for ambiance.  We have a great outdoor fireplace that kept everyone warm in the freezing Seattle weather!

My good friend Jenny owns Snohomish Pie Company and offered to make the pie for our After Party.  They were almost too pretty to eat!

  1. Wow Jenny! This looks absolutely perfect.. I have been following you for a while and you never disappoint with all your awesome parties and details! We live in an apartment and although we do have a great balcony I struggle with finding ways to entertain comfortably.. Doing sown thing simply lie this would be so much fun. I’m a huge Target fan and they always have the best seasonal coffee mugs and drink ware.. Thanks so much for sharing, it looks so magical yet practical and fun!! Xo
