Preheat oven to 350 degrees. In a large bowl, combine brownie mix, oil, water and egg. Mix together until fully blended.
Scoop out mixture, one by one and roll into balls. Gently press each brownie ball down to resemble the shape of a bear paw, onto an ungreased cookie sheet.
Carefully press 4-5 slivered almonds into the tops of the "paws" to resemble claws.
Bake for 8-10 minutes. While cookies are still warm, press York Thins into the paw of the cookie. Allow to cool completely and then enjoy!
