This week felt like a thousand hour work week with

This week felt like a thousand hour work week with a combined 12 hours of sleep. Being a small business owner is no easy job. It’s 24/7. It’s emails, phone calls, meetings, planning, interviewing, hiring, training, blogging, managing social media, working in the shops, meeting and getting to know our customers, styling and shooting new content, constantly designing and executing new ideas, managing an ever-growing team, maintaining our positive culture while providing an exceptional experience to our community, all the while recovering from the losses of 2020 and carefully tiptoeing into big decisions to make 2021 a success. On top of all of that, and a million other little things, meeting the needs of my family.

This week was one of those extra challenging weeks. The kind of week you have moments where you want to throw your hands in the air and quit but instead choose to roll up your sleeves and get to work. I decided to look at the obstacles ahead and be grateful for the opportunity to learn and grow. Dan always says when you fill your bus with the right people in the right seats, it becomes less of a question of where you're headed, but how far you can go. My team showed up this week in a big way. Super long hours and extra shifts, with smiles and support for one another. I’m so proud of the Cookie Squad and the teamwork they demonstrated. We rise when we lift others and that’s exactly what we did. It might say JENNY Cookies on the door but I couldn’t do it without my rockstar team. Teamwork truly makes the dream work.
