Elf on the Shelf, Year 11.
Our Elf on the Shelf has been visiting our family since 2006. We’ve experienced just about all the magic and wonder you could ever imagine over the past DECADE. Yes, you read that right. Eleven years of the Elf on the Shelf. Anyone know if these elves have a graduation or right of passage?!
After the first two or three years flying solo, our Elf, Buddy, arrived with a friend named Snowflake. Buddy and Snowflake teamed up and have created all sorts of mysterious and fun situations over the years. Between the two of them, they’ve baked, partied, decorated, traveled, played, and most of all, made hundreds of sweet memories for our kids.
This year, Buddy, Snowflake and I worked with Ace Hardware to help get ready for holiday hosting – and the Elves were super helpful making party preparations! We love having our family over for the holidays, but we can only hold so many things in our fridge and freezer – between all of the food AND drinks we want to serve, the kitchen is ready to burst! Luckily, my #HelpfulScoutElf helped by storing our extra drinks in our YETI Tundra 35 cooler, which saved space in our fridge for holiday entertaining!
Not only did they help alleviate space in my refrigerator, they came prepped with a party checklist, to make sure no detail goes unnoticed. With the length of my to-do list these days, it was super helpful!
For those of you that are still searching for family gifts, I’d definitely recommend putting YETI products on your list – I love my YETI cooler! Their line of products are created with extreme insulation, keeping your ice frozen and your drinks cold for DAYS – and Ace’s free in store pickup is SUCH a lifesaver if you’re in a pinch or too busy to wait on shipping. Ace is also offering a $50 gift card on purchases of YETI coolers over $250, now through Christmas Eve!
What helpful deeds are your Elves up to? Share your OWN Elf photo on Instagram or Facebook using the hashtags #HelpfulScoutElf and #JennyCookies for a chance to win a $100 Ace Hardware gift card!
A few years ago I documented several of our Elf mornings with Buddy and Snowflake on my blog (here). It’s been a few years since I’ve shared elf excitement on my blog. Scroll down for more elf inspiration!
