Erewhon-Inspired Vanilla Matcha Smoothie (Lori Harvey Inspired)

f you love an Erewhon smoothie moment but want to recreate it at home, this Vanilla Matcha Smoothie inspired by Lori Harvey is creamy, lightly sweet, and full of feel?good ingredients. I made this version using what I had on hand, keeping it very close to the original Erewhon recipe with a few practical swaps.

This is the kind of smoothie that feels special but still doable for everyday life.

Why You’ll Love This Smoothie

  • Creamy, not icy
  • Lightly sweet with real vanilla flavor
  • Energizing from matcha (no coffee crash)
  • Customizable depending on what you have
  • Very Erewhon?coded ?

Ingredients

Here’s exactly what I used:

What I skipped:

  • Sea moss gel
  • Coconut whip topping

How to Make It

  1. Add all ingredients to a high?speed blender.
  2. Blend until smooth and creamy.
  3. Taste and adjust sweetness if needed.
  4. Pour into a glass and enjoy immediately.
My kitchen favorites:

Notes & Substitutions

  • No sea moss gel? Totally fine. The smoothie is still creamy and satisfying without it.
  • No coconut whip topping? Skipping it keeps things lighter and less dessert?like.
  • Crown Maple Vanilla Syrup adds a clean, subtle vanilla sweetness that pairs perfectly with matcha.
  • Two scoops of ice gives it that thick Erewhon texture without watering it down.

Optional Tweaks

  • For extra creaminess: add 1–2 tablespoons more coconut cream
  • For a stronger vanilla flavor: add vanilla powder or vanilla bean paste
  • For an even thicker smoothie: freeze oat milk into cubes and use those instead of regular ice

This smoothie feels like something you’d order at Erewhon but without the Erewhon price tag. It’s creamy, energizing, and perfect for a slow morning, post?workout fuel, or a mid?afternoon reset.

If you try it, let me know what tweaks you make!  This is one of those recipes that’s easy to personalize and keep on repeat.
