These Madewell Jeans Are Everywhere.  Here’s How to Style Them

5 Ways to Wear the Madewell Darted Barrel Jeans

These jeans were part of the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale and no surprise, they sold fast. But good news: if you’r size is sold out at Nordstrom, they’re still fully in stock at Madewell, and just as worth grabbing.  I’ve been wearing them nonstop, and they’ve quickly become one of my most versatile pairs. Slightly structured, a little roomy, and super flattering, they work dressed up or down.

I pulled together five easy outfit ideas to style them for any season. Scroll down to see the looks, shop the pieces, and maybe find your new go-to jeans too.

1. Double Denim, But Make It Chic

A classic denim-on-denim moment always works. I paired the jeans with a denim shirt, rolled the sleeves, and added suede accessories for a more styled feel. Western boots and a slouchy tote make it feel relaxed but intentional.

2. Transitional Layers

Late-summer mornings that turn breezy afternoons call for an easy layer. I’ve got a white ribbed tank tucked in, then tossed this chocolate brown cashmere crew from Nordstrom over my shoulders. It’s under $100 (rare for cashmere!) and comes in a handful of other colors if brown isn’t your vibe. Fisherman sandals plus a structured brown tote keep everything looking polished without trying too hard.

3. Casual Date Night

This look proves these jeans can be dressed up. A slouchy black cardigan, sleek ankle boots, and a structured mini bag give it that elevated but still effortless feel. A bold lip or statement earring would be a fun add-on here too.

4. Office Casual

Polished but not trying too hard. I threw an oversized blazer over a crisp white button-up and finished with ballet flats. This one’s great for casual work days or coffee meetings.

5. Coastal Weekend

A classic denim-on-denim moment always works. I paired the jeans with a denim shirt, rolled the sleeves, and added suede accessories for a more styled feel. Western boots and a slouchy tote make it feel relaxed but intentional.

If you’ve been curious about the barrel leg trend, this pair is a great place to start. They’re comfortable, easy to wear, and come in several washes. I’d recommend your true size for a relaxed fit, or size down if you want them a bit more snug.
