Chocolate Peanut Butter Crispy Cake Recipe

My husband’s all-time favorite treat is my Chocolate Peanut Butter Crispy Cubes. For his birthday last year, I thought it would be fun to surprise him with a whole cake made of crispy cubes! It was a hit with Dan, and several people on social reached out to find out how I did it..here’s how!
Peanut Butter Crispy Cube Cake
Ingredients:
- 3 tbsp butter
- (1) 16 oz bag of mini marshmallows
- 6 cups rice krispies cereal
- 2 tbsp peanut butter
- 1 cup chocolate melting wafers
- 1 1/2 cups crushed peanut butter cups

step 1:
In microwave-safe bowl heat butter, peanut butter and marshmallows on HIGH for about 3 minutes, stirring after 2 minutes. Stir until smooth.

step 2:
Add rice cereal and 1 cup crushed peanut butter cups. Stir until well coated.

step 3:
Using a greased spatula, press mixture into 6″ round cake pan pan coated with cooking spray. Add remaining mixture into 4″ round cake pan coated with cooking spray. Allow to cool completely (about 2 hours).

step 4:
After cakes are completely cool, remove from cake pans. Melt chocolate melting wafers in a microwave safe bowl for 30 second increments until fully melted. Fill disposable bag with melted chocolate. Place 6″ round on cake board or cake pedestal. Snip tip of decorating bag and drizzle the sides of the cake with chocolate. Add chocolate to the top of the 6″ layer and spread using an angled spatula.

step 5:
Add 4″ cake layer to 6″ base. Repeat side drizzle and cover the top with melting chocolate, smoothing with an angled spatula. Top cake with remaining 1/2 cup crushed peanut butter cups.

Hope you enjoy this recipe as much as my family did! If you make it, tag me on social @jennycookies, I’d love to see your creation!
