Chanel Inspired Birthday Party| Simone Masterson-Horn’s 5th Birthday

How quickly the time flies!  Little Miss Simone Masterson-Horn is now a 5 year old!  Every year since her 1st birthday, I’ve flown to LA to create her dessert table for her party.  This year The Guncles chose a Simone no 5 theme (reminiscent of Coco Chanel) to celebrate her big day.

We kept everything as chic and classic as possible, covering every surface in flowers and gorgeous vintage glass. Simone’s desserts were set atop a vintage dresser painted gray, with a flower covered ‘no 5’ inside hanging frames.

To beat the LA heat and keep a clean look, I made Simone a “naked” white cake topped with fresh flowers.

There were rich chocolatey vintage ruffle cupcakes for our chocolate lover guests.  (Recipe in my book Eat More Dessert)

Frog Prince created these darling fondant toppers to coordinate our theme.  They were perfect to top cupcakes and dipped pb cracker cookies.

The Crown Collective was on site to custom create flower crowns for each party guest.  They were so much fun to work with, I absolutely loved having them at the party.

Guests were treated to a perfume making bar with  just about every scent you could imagine!

After making perfume, the kids LOVED creating their own CHARM IT! necklace. We had the cutest assortment of charms for each girl to choose from including Eiffel Towers, nail polish, purses and more!
